Arboreal — vertical height first. An adult panther chameleon should live in at least 24" L × 24" W × 48" H; we build toward 36" L × 24" W × 48" H (3 × 2 × 4 ft, roughly 6 sq ft of floor and about a 180-gallon glass equivalent).

Temperature and heating

Lighting and UVB
UVB: Linear T5 UVB 6% (UVI 3 at top perch). Run lights on a 12 hours photoperiod, on a timer, and replace UVB bulbs on the manufacturer's schedule even while they still emit visible light.
Humidity
Target Night spike to 100%, day 40–60%. Automated misting plus a dripper; full dry-out during the day.
Substrate and depth
Bare bottom or drained bioactive soil. Depth: 0–3 in.
