Blue-tongue skink morph calculator
Tiliqua scincoides — Blue-tongue keeping is subspecies-led rather than morph-led. A few recessives exist (albino, hypo, caramel), but Northern, Eastern, Irian Jaya and Halmahera lines describe most animals.

Questions keepers ask
- Are predicted morph percentages guaranteed in a clutch?
- No. Each percentage is a probability for an individual egg. A small clutch can differ substantially from the expected ratio.
- Can a photograph prove a recessive het?
- No. Record documented parentage, breeding evidence or appropriate genetic testing separately from visual appearance. A possible het remains a probability, not a proven carrier.
- Can line-bred traits be predicted with a Punnett square?
- Not reliably. Line-bred and polygenic traits involve selection and multiple influences; keep their descriptions in animal records rather than treating them as simple single-gene odds.
